Per un soffio WHT ha fallito la possibilità di piazzare due singoli consecutivi nella top 10 inglese, cosa che non succedeva dal 1986.
WHT, infatti, esordirà domani al n°11 della top 40 (dopo che per lungo tempo si era sparsa la voce che WHT potesse aver raggiunto la Top 10 al #7, una notizia data quasi per ufficiale ma smentita nelle ultime ore).

UK CHART POSITIONS

Sarebbe stato meglio se WHT fosse entrato in top ten, almeno per le statistiche sarebbe stato annoverato come il 15^ top ten hit dei DD in patria. In ogni modo essendo un top 20 è comunque considerato una hit e, tenendo conto che è un secondo singolo estratto da un album uscito da 4 mesi, l'11 posto è un ottimo risultato, soprattutto per una band che non ha più un pubblico prevalentemente giovanissimo (cioè un pubblico che generalmente determina il mercato dei singoli).
In ogni modo WHT ha fatto meglio di tanti altri classici Duran: guardate un po' la performance nelle charts inglesi dei singoli degli ultimi (quasi) vent'anni.

In 19 anni hanno fatto meglio di WHT solo 4 classici (Notorious, All she wants is, Ordinary world, Sunrise), tre dei quali estratti come 1^ singolo.
Quindi ritroviamo il sorriso e rendiamoci conto che WHT è un successo, soprattutto perchè due singoli dello stesso album nella top 20 significa che quasi al 100% la Sony pubblicherà un terzo singolo!!! (incrocio le dita per Finest Hour).
